“Signature Playground” Coming to Daffin Park

Daffin Park is about to get a big upgrade, as Savannah City Council has approved a $1.1 million contract for the city’s first “signature playground.” The project, which is part of the city’s Recreation Re-Imagined initiative, promises to offer a modern and inclusive play area for children of all ages and abilities.

Scheduled for completion in 2025, the playground will span several “zones” offering a wide variety of play experiences, including dual ziplines, saucer swings, a twist tower, a splash pad, and even a “mega zone” featuring inclusive climbing units. Designed to accommodate everyone, the park will include ADA-compliant play sets, surfaces, and adult changing stations in public restrooms, ensuring it’s a place where all kids can enjoy the fun.
