Halloween is just around the corner, and Savannah is filled with festivals and family fun events all weekend long!

Get Ready for Wag-O-Ween 2024

It’s that time of year again—Wag-O-Ween is back, and it’s going to be a spooky, tail-wagging good time! This beloved Savannah event is set to take over the downtown and Starland Districts this Saturday and Sunday, from noon to 5 PM. Tickets are $12 and include a wristband, goody bag, and event map. It’s a fun opportunity for dogs and their owners to dress up in their best costumes, collect treats, and enjoy a weekend packed with activities for a great cause.

What to Expect at Wag-O-Ween:

Trick-or-Treating:

As you stroll through downtown and the Starland District, over 100 local businesses will be participating, handing out goodies for your pets. It’s a great way to explore the city, meet other dog lovers, and stock up on treats for your pup.

Wiener Races:

Head to Pulaski Square for the always-entertaining Wiener Races! Whether your dog is a wiener or not, they can join the fun for just $5. Sign up early or register on the day of the event at the race booth.

Scavenger Hunt:

Follow a scavenger hunt map and collect stamps from participating businesses. Complete a row, column, or diagonal to win a prize, or fill out the entire card for a shot at a grand prize. It’s a great way to explore and engage with local businesses while competing for rewards.

Photo Contest:

Dress your dog in their best costume and stop by the official photo booth in Pulaski Square. After the event, all photos will be posted on the Wag-O-Ween Facebook page, where you can vote for the best-dressed pup. The winner gets free entry to next year’s event, so bring your A-game!

Wag-O-Ween has grown into one of Savannah’s favorite pet events, raising funds to support local animal rescues and programs. Whether you’re trick-or-treating with your furry friends, joining the Wiener Races, or showing off your pup’s best costume, it’s guaranteed to be a fun-filled weekend for a great cause!
